To experience East Greenland is to experience the original Greenland as they say in Greenland. Amongst the rugged and mountainous grandeur of this remote and isolated coastline, old traditions and practices live on within the region's tiny population. Many people here are still subsistence hunters and fishermen, and still gather food for their families by dogsled, boat and kayak. It contrasts completely with the more populated and modern West Coast and even their dialect is very different.
