Lying at 420m below sea level the Dead Sea is fed by the Jordan River and forms Jordan’s western border.
The baptism site of Jesus lies up river and Lot’s Cave is in the hills to the east. The Dead Sea is one of the warmest places in the country making it a year round destination, tourists and locals come to float in the salty waters and experience a Dead Sea mud bath.
