Start the day at 0930 with a guided tour of Kenroku-en, one of Japan’s top gardens, where each season brings a different landscape - from spring cherry blossoms to snow-covered pines in winter. The local guide offers background on the garden's history and unique features that might otherwise go unnoticed.
The tour continues to Gyokusen-en, a smaller, quieter garden nearby. Here, guests step into a traditional tea house to take part in a tea ceremony led by an experienced tea master, who walks everyone through the steps in a relaxed way. After enjoying a bowl of matcha, there’s time for a final stroll around the garden paths before wrapping up the morning.
