Spend a day cooking like a Filipino! Guests join chefs to prepare iconic Filipino dishes, from appetisers to desserts, in a hands-on experience that feels more like cooking with friends than attending a class. The session ends with a three-course dinner featuring the dishes made together. These activities usually last between one and three hours and can be tailored to individual preferences. If Filipino cuisine isn’t the focus, chefs can adapt to other interests like bread baking or desserts, even creating a kid-friendly version. Participants also receive recipes to recreate the dishes at home.
During the session, guests might prepare kinilaw, a Filipino ceviche made with fresh seafood, vinegar, calamansi, and coconut milk; pandesal, the soft, slightly sweet bread rolls beloved in the Philippines; adobo, the country’s unofficial national dish of chicken or pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic; or Pinoy’s Pride, a flavourful seafood medley cooked in coconut milk and chili. For dessert, there’s mango float, a chilled layered treat with ripe mangoes, cream, and crackers, or leche flan, a rich caramel custard similar to crème caramel. This is a fun and delicious way to immerse yourself in Filipino food and culture.
