Gayana Marine Resort sits at the edges of a lush jungle forest on Gaya Island located off the coast of Borneo. The resort is made up of 52 over-water villas designed to capture the enduring vista of Mt. Kinabalu on the distant horizon.
The Resort has an on-site PADI dive school, a choice of restaurants including Alu Alu an over-water fresh seafood restaurant and the Solace Spa offering a range of treatments. The Resort also features the on-site Marine Ecology Research Centre (MERC) which is working to help propagate the endangered Giant Clams and restore the natural coral reefs – this is where guests of all ages can actively participate in restoring vibrant life back to the once damaged ocean. MERC has a fun marine touch tank as well as a coral planting programme so guests can directly contribute towards the restoration of the indigenous coral reefs.
