The San Rocco Heritage Hotel has been the property of the Fernetich family for generations. Located in the village of Brtonigla, at the heart of the Istrian interior, it was painstakingly restored in 2004 to become exclusive holiday accommodation.
This boutique hotel only has 14 rooms so during the peak season rooms can be hard to come by, but a stay in Spring or Autumn is glorious. Each room is unique in its layout and design and makes use of local stone, wood and wrought iron, highlighting the craftsmanship of this region. Some rooms have views over the pool and gardens whilst others overlook the village.
The San Rocco restaurant is a member of the Association des Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe and often wins prestigious accolades from across Europe. It focuses on local seasonal specialities such as freshly caught fish, truffles mushrooms and game. San Rocco also produces its own Extra Virgin Olive oil, wine vinegar and paté.
The hotel boasts an outdoor pool with beautiful manicured gardens and an indoor pool with sauna and hydromassage tub.
Parking is available nearby free of charge.
