The cabins at Aurora Village are tucked away in a remote part of the forests of Inari county, and boast a section of glass roofing above the cosy beds, so the northern lights can be spotted whilst tucked up under the covers. The 'village' entertains guests with husky sledging, snowmobiling, snowshoe hiking and ice fishing. This is a great choice for a romantic getaway under the Northern Lights.
They have 28 Aurora Wood Cabins with heated windows above the beds, which hopefully will offer you a glorious display of the Northern Lights. Just in case you sleep through sign up for an Aurora alert from the reception (small charge payable locally) and be notified when the green lights start to dance across the sky.
Three brand-new room types will be introduced in winter 2025-2026, offering more space and flexibility for guests:
Aurora Suite (10 units) – Suitable for 2–6 people, these spacious new suites are a larger version of the popular Aurora Cabins, featuring an extra bedroom. One of these suites will already be available this season, with stays starting from 1st December.
Aurora Tower (6 units) – Designed for 2 guests but can sleep up to 4, these cabins feature an upstairs bedroom under a beautiful glass ceiling – perfect for aurora viewing.
Aurora Tower Suite (4 units) – Ideal for 2–6 people, with two bedrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs, providing added comfort and privacy.
There is a cosy restaurant, serving excellent local food and is ideal for sipping Finnish vodka around a roaring fire until late in the evening.
