Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, you'll be greeted by a local driver and transferred to Seoul. As South Korea's capital, Seoul blends tradition with modernity. Explore ancient landmarks like Gyeongbokgung Palace, or visit bustling districts such as Myeongdong for shopping and street food. After checking into your hotel, you’ll have time to relax and recover from your journey. The day is yours to unwind, with plenty of opportunities to explore or simply enjoy the city's vibrant atmosphere at your own pace.

SEOUL TO JEONJU
Bibimbap

After breakfast, take a train to Jeonju, where your day of exploration begins. Once in Jeonju, a taxi will take you to your hotel (at your own expense). Your tour of the city will be on foot and using public transportation, offering a more authentic experience of local life. Start at Nambu Market, brimming with food stalls and crafts. Visit Pungnammun Gate, a 14th-century landmark, and Jeondong Catholic Church, one of Korea’s most beautiful. Continue to Gyeonggijeon Shrine and the charming Jeonju Hanok Village. Enjoy a bibimbap lunch before visiting Imokdae Pavilion and a traditional hanok café. Special note: The Jeonju Traditional Culture Centre and National Intangible Heritage Center are closed every Monday. (B,L)

JEONJU TO SUNCHEON
Jirisan National Park

After breakfast and hotel check-out, take a taxi to Jeonju Train Station (at your own expense) for your scenic KTX ride to Gurye. Upon arrival, explore the ancient Hwaeomsa Temple, nestled in the serene mountains of Jirisan National Park. This temple, dating back to 544 AD, offers a tranquil retreat into Korea’s Buddhist heritage. Visit the 300-year-old Ssangsanjae Heritage hanok, a stunning example of Korean architecture surrounded by peaceful gardens. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in nature at Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve, walking through elevated platforms amid the rich biodiversity, capped by a stunning sunset. (B)

Seonamsa Temple

After breakfast, meet your local guide and set off in a private van to explore Suncheon. Start with Naganeupseong Folk Village, a 14th-century village surrounded by stone walls, where you can experience traditional Korean life and architecture. After a regional lunch, visit Seonamsa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in Jirisan National Park. Hike through serene forests to reach the temple and discover its deep Buddhist heritage. In the afternoon, step back in time at the Suncheon Open Film Set, where you’ll wander through recreated streets from post-war to 1980s Korea. Return to the hotel to relax. (B,L)

Boseong Green Tea Plantation

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby to begin your day of exploration. Start at the Boseong Green Tea Plantation, where you’ll stroll through lush hillsides of tea fields, learning about Korea’s rich tea culture. Enjoy a sample of the fresh green tea or a scoop of popular Green Tea Ice Cream. After a seaside lunch at Yulpo Beach, continue to Gwangju. Visit the Sajik Tower Observatory for sweeping views of the city, then explore the historic missionary houses in Yangnim-dong. Meet your guide and begin your exploration of Gwangju’s rich history. Travel to Mudeungsan National Park and enjoy a peaceful 40-minute hike to Jeungsimsa Temple, a serene Buddhist retreat. On the way back, visit the Uijae Museum of Korean Art, showcasing beautiful local pieces. After a traditional Hanjeongsik lunch, head to the May 18th National Cemetery, a poignant tribute to those who fought for democracy. After breakfast, meet your driver for a private transfer (without a guide) to Gwangju Songjeong Train Station. You’ll take a KTX train to Seoul, a comfortable and efficient journey that takes about two hours. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the city at your own pace. For suggestions, consider visiting Deoksugung Palace, a mix of traditional Korean and Western-style architecture, or the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Myeongdong offers great shopping, and a riverside walk or bike ride is ideal for unwinding. (B)
