DAY 1
LONDON TO COLOGNE
Cologne in the evening

Begin your train adventure with a Eurostar journey from London St. Pancras to Brussels, traversing the Channel Tunnel into continental Europe. In Brussels, transfer to a German ICE (InterCity Express) a high-speed train bound for Cologne, passing through the landscapes of Belgium and western Germany. Upon arrival check in to your hotel such as Courtyard by Marriott Cologne or similar for 2 nights. This evening marvel at the majestic Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the charming Old Town with its narrow alleys and traditional breweries

DAY 2
COLOGNE

Today enjoy a free day to explore Cologne or speak to one of our travel specialists to perhaps add a guided brewhouse walking tour. Delve deeper into Cologne's rich history by visiting the Roman-Germanic Museum, home to an extensive collection of Roman artifacts. Stroll along the Rhine River promenade, perhaps taking a leisurely boat cruise to appreciate the city's skyline. In the evening, experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Belgian Quarter, known for its trendy boutiques, art galleries, and lively bars. (B)

DAY 3
COLOGNE TO BERLIN
COLOGNE TO BERLIN

Today take the train to Berlin, the capital of Germany. This journey takes around five hours. On arrival either take a local taxi or underground to Berlin Alexanderplatz Bahnhof Railway Station. Check in to the Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Centre Alexanderplatz or similar for two nights. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the iconic Berlin TV Tower, which is particularly stunning at sunset. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll to the nearby Hackescher Markt, known for its lively atmosphere, boutique shops, and trendy restaurants. (B)

DAY 4
BERLIN
Reichstag building in Berlin

Discover the dynamic energy of Berlin. Start your day with a visit to the Brandenburg Gate and the nearby Reichstag Building, where you can climb the glass dome for panoramic views. Explore the Berlin Wall Memorial and East Side Gallery, featuring striking murals. Visit Checkpoint Charlie Museum, and don’t miss Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a relaxed afternoon, visit the Tiergarten or grab lunch at the trendy Markthalle Neun. End the day with a performance at the Berlin Philharmonie or enjoy the buzzing nightlife in Friedrichshain. DAY 5
BERLIN TO PRAGUE
Prague Train Station

Today take the train from Berlin to Prague. The approximately four-hour train ride offers views of rolling hills, charming villages, and the river's serene waters. A highlight is the stretch near the Czech border, where the train runs alongside the Elbe. Upon arrival in Prague, the "City of a Hundred Spires," take a quick walk to the Falkensteiner Hotel Prague or similar and check in for two nights. Perhaps consider an evening stroll across the iconic Charles Bridge, beautifully illuminated against the night sky. (B)

DAY 6
PRAGUE
St. Vitus cathedral in Hradcany castle, Prague

Enjoy a free day to explore Prague. Speak to our travel specialists about adding a guided tour of Prague Castle, including St. Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane. Wander through the Old Town Square, where you can watch the Astronomical Clock chime on the hour. Cross the Charles Bridge and explore the charming streets of the Lesser Town (Malá Strana). Take a boat ride on the Vltava River, book a Prague Foodie Tour or climb Petřín Hill for stunning views. In the evening, enjoy a classical concert or dine in one of the city’s atmospheric cellar restaurants. (B)

DAY 7
PRAGUE TO BRATISLAVA
Bratislava

This morning take the train to the Slovakia’s often overlooked capital. This journey takes just over four hours. On arrival in Bratislava take a local cab from the train station to the Hotel Arcadia Boutique Hotel or similar and check in for two nights. This evening enjoy a leisurely evening stroll through the historic Old Town. Enjoy a glass of locally produced wine at one of the riverside bars while watching the lights of the SNP Bridge and its iconic UFO Observation Deck twinkle over the river. (B

DAY 8
BRATISLAVA
Bratislava

Enjoy a free day in Bratislava. Start with a visit to Bratislava Castle, perched above the Danube, offering panoramic views that stretch across Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary. Wander down into the Old Town, where cobblestone streets lead to landmarks like St. Martin’s Cathedral and Michael’s Gate. Seek out the quirky sculptures hidden around the city, such as Cumil the Workman. History enthusiasts can take a short trip to Devin Castle, whose ancient ruins sit dramatically at the meeting of the Danube and Morava rivers. In the evening, consider a sunset cruise on the Danube or savour Slovakian cuisine at a traditional restaurant. (B)

DAY 9
BRATISLAVA TO BUDAPEST

Today board your train to Budapest, Hungary’s vibrant capital. The journey offers picturesque views of the Danube River and its lush valleys. Keep an eye out for the impressive Esztergom Basilica, Hungary's tallest building, standing majestically on the riverbank near the Slovakian border. This train journey is approximately two hours 20 mins. After arriving in Budapest, take a local taxi to K&K Opera Hotel or similar for a two- night stay. Unwind with an evening soak in one of the city's renowned thermal baths, such as Gellért or Széchenyi. (B)

DAY 10
BUDAPEST
Széchenyi thermal baths

Spend the day exploring Budapest, a city that seamlessly blends history and modernity. Start with a visit to Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion for panoramic views of the Danube and Pest side. Walk along Andrássy Avenue to Heroes’ Square, or visit the Hungarian Parliament, one of Europe’s most beautiful legislative buildings. Relax with a river cruise or explore the bustling Great Market Hall. For a memorable evening, dine at a rooftop restaurant or enjoy a ruin bar experience in the Jewish Quarter. (B)

DAY 11
DEPART BUDAPEST

Your journey comes to an end today in Budapest. You may choose to return to the UK by flight, continue your travels onward, or the train back to the UK.
