Upon arrival in Tokyo, you’ll be greeted by our representative and escorted to your shared shuttle bus for a quick transfer to your hotel. Tokyo offers a fascinating mix of cutting-edge modernity and traditional charm, and this evening gives you the chance to settle in and prepare for the days ahead.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a guided tour of Tokyo. First, explore the historic Asakusa district, home to the iconic Sensoji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest and most revered temples. Stroll down Nakamise Street, lined with traditional shops offering local treats and crafts. Next, visit the serene Imperial Palace, nestled amidst lush gardens - a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. Finish the day in the energetic Shibuya district, where you’ll witness the famous Scramble Crossing and browse trendy shopping streets, offering a lively mix of fashion, culture, and youthful energy. After breakfast, board the bullet train from Tokyo to Sendai, a journey of about 1.5 hours. Known as the "City of Trees," Sendai offers a unique blend of history and modern vibrancy. After breakfast, we’ll set off for a scenic drive to Hirosaki, located about 2.5 hours away. The highlight of the day is Hirosaki Castle Park, a historic site that becomes a cherry blossom haven in spring. The park’s stunning grounds and the iconic Hirosaki Castle offer a perfect setting for a peaceful stroll, surrounded by vibrant sakura trees in full bloom.
After exploring the park, we’ll make our way to Shin Aomori station, where you’ll board the bullet train for a comfortable, scenic journey back to Tokyo. This fast and efficient ride offers a chance to relax while enjoying the beautiful Japanese countryside before arriving in the capital. (B)
